Board of Education

Park City Schools is developing this page to provide key information to the public.  Our School Board information can be found on this page.  The links to the right include Board agendas, minutes, and other key items of information.  The following are the Board goals as developed and reviewed annually.

PARK CITY SCHOOL BOARD GOALS 2022-2025

 

Well Being Goal:  All children in Park City School District, grades Pre-K through 12,  will be safe and supported while growing to be Active Learners and Active Leaders as evidenced through staff and student surveys reviewed on a regular basis.

·        Staff, parents and community collaborate to support a positive and safe school climate.

·        Ensure all students’ physical, social, emotional, and nutritional needs are addressed.

·        Provide safe and positive learning environments (including facilities).

·        Develop facility plan to meet long range needs of students, securing funding and support.

Academic Goal:  For the years 2022-2024 Park City students will show an annual 5% improvement in meeting proficiency scores for reading and math on the state reported assessments.

·        Implement a researched and viable curriculum

·        Implement district collaborative teams to support student achievement

·        Implement systems of academic intervention and extensions of learning

·        Utilize technology strategically to continue to improve student achievement and enhance overall district offerings and instruction

Retention Goal: Park City Schools will improve to a 90% annual retention rate for teachers.

·        Implement an on-boarding and mentorship program

·        Review alternative calendar and scheduling

·        Review alternative licensing, professional development opportunities, and compensation

Graduation Goal:  All PCSD5 students will graduate ready for college, career, and the workforce as evidenced by post-graduation surveys reviewed annually.

·        Beginning with the 9th grade year, all students will have a personal learning plan mapping out their educational goals and transition to their post-secondary plans utilizing MCS and other programs.
