Welcome to the wonderful world of Art! I am Mrs. Shermer, and I am so excited for you to join me!

Art can be a tremendously wonderful and relaxing thing, but it requires a lot of patience and resetting what you think you can do; you'll find out you are great at something, and maybe not so much in another, and that's OK! I strongly believe that we are all artists, it just takes a bit of love and patience to find what our niche is. 

All assignments will be posted to google classroom where the students will always have access to their assignments and resources to complete work. Their google classroom code will be given to them at the beginning of the year.  Elementary will not have a google classroom.

I do have a class Facebook page where I post photos, art projects, and announcements for K-12. Please feel free to like and follow to keep up to date. I do my best to post frequently.

A little about myself; I am a 5th year teacher, earning my Bachelor of Fine Art in 2015 at MSUB, returning to earn my Master of Education in 2019. I am a mom of 4 young kiddos, and consider myself to be a professionally trained artist for the past 9 years. Video games got me into the world of Art and I always love learning a new art medium.
