Please continue to pay attention to updated news on our new Early Entry Kindergarten for 4 year old students (Must be at least 4 by September 10, 2022). Due to a population of special needs students that is higher than the state average, which in turn has a negative impact on our state test scores when they start at the 3rd grade, we have the opportunity to create an Early Entry Kindergarten. We will utilize the ESSER funds to help start this program and then it will be self-sufficient after the first couple years.
Research has shown that creating a level playing field when it comes to early education helps to negate the educational and social gaps that can occur when early education opportunities like private pre-school are not available. As we are a public school, this program would not cost parents other that general school supplies and school clothes. That means all students can have access to a research based educational program.
Early Entry Kindergarten Registration is May 17 3:30-4:30 in the school cafeteria.
