At the last board meeting the board was asked to consider approving a charter school under new state law, HB549. On October 24 the school board will be asked to approve the application for Montana Connections Academy. This charter would be an online charter run under an advisory board of our admin and answerable to our board. It is focused on providing a quality education to home school students, on students who may have difficulty accessing school where they live, and on students who want the online experience. The education groups within Montana that pushed for HB549 are asking schools to approve charters in order to show that public charters can provide a good service to Montana families and students.
