March 27 UPDATE

I am happy to report that we are able to drink our water! Over the past few weeks we have been able to get our system up. We have been testing the chlorination process to make sure it runs at a safe and steady rate.

January 20 UPDATE

We have had a lot of work done this winter for our new water system. Currently we are waiting for a valve to be delivered mid-February. We have had the well drilled, the pipes have all been set in place, and work done in the building to connect it all. We are finishing up the pump house and some of the key components that will be in the pump house. We are looking to have our good water running by this spring.

July 12 UPDATE

July 6 Update

Park City Schools was awarded an ARPA grant in the amount of $271,417 to address the school's water system. That is in addition to the $100,000 in ARPA funds that were received by the county to help us out. We will first drill a test well and then if all is correct, we will drill for the new well. Over the next few weeks we will be working on finalizing the specs of the new system with Performance Engineering.

We will continue to use bottled water as our most recent water tests showed the Nitrate levels had returned to over 10 ppm. It is not likely that our new system will be on line by the time school starts, so please plan to send refillable water bottles with your students when school starts.
